It’s been one week since I returned from RWA, San Fran Nationals and already it seems so long ago.
Just a quick run down. The hotel was amazing and shopping was everywhere you turned. Not that I had much time for it, but still, if you like to shop, then San Fran is a great place to go.
I never made it to Napa Valley though and I’m really sorry about that. I wanted to do a little wine tasting in the valley. Again, it was the time issue. We did, however, have wine at the hotel and the Wharf.
My pitch appointments went very well and I came home with several requests from them, as well as general talking with editors and/or agents. Fingers crossed for those.
The weather was great and believe it or not, I really didn’t over pack this year. Yes, I had a few extra things that weren’t worn, but trust me on this, a few extra things is good for me. Remember, I’m a choices kinda girl.
Oh wait, did someone ask if we got any sleep??? At nationals? Nope, we ran on about 3 hours a night if we were lucky. And the one night my roomy and I were back in the room at a decent hour, we sat and talked until 3:00 AM. By the way, my roomy was great!
I posted a slideshow on the right with pics.

Sounds like a wonderful time! Thanks for sharing all of your pictures with us.
Hey Liza, it was great, but I was also very glad to come home. :)
Oh, I am so jealous you were there! It seems like everybody had such a good time. And congrats on the requests from your pitch!!
Vicki, I love the slideshow--especially since I couldn't go this year. I loved seeing our TARA sisters all dressed up, especially Karen R and Carla (I'm a sucker for royal blue)!
Great going on all the requests!
Vicki, love the pictures. You took lots (even that yummy lunch dessert)!
Looks like you had a blast at National.
Carolyn Jean - We had a great time, but next year in DC will be just as fab. Hope you can come to that one. :)
Karen - We missed you bunches and yes, both Karen and Carla were stunning.
Jill - the dessert was so good and being the lover of coffee that I am I couldn't resist the photo. :)
ya never sleep at conferences, you do that when you get home.
Nice slide show!
Hi Vicki,
So sorry I didn't get to meet you in San Fran. I got in on Friday afternoon. Leslie and I headed out of town on Sunday and went to Sonoma for a few days. The wine was great and it was fantastic to get away alone for a few days. Maybe I'll see you next year in Washington.
MI - isn't it the truth! :)
Bruce, I wish I'd known you were going to be there. I hope you and Leslie had a wonderful time.
With the plotmonkeys not getting out much this time, we didn't see any of them much. I think I saw Julie twice.
