Don’t get me wrong. I love spring. Living in Florida, we still have green most the year round, but I still love seeing the flowers blooming and going to Lowes to buy new flowers for planting. Science Guy will tell you I don’t have much of a green thumb, but I like to try.
But what about the danger?
My mom was/is Mrs. Clean incarnate. I could give you examples but that’s another post entirely. I’ll just leave it at the house was always spotless. Cleaning over clean was/is her motto.
Me, I love a clean house. I love things to be where they belong, I love…okay, who am I kidding? I really do love all of the above and try to keep it that way, until life decides I’m too busy.
So what about the danger? I’m almost there.
Things pile up, dusting needs to be done, and closets need to be straightened. I’m going crazy since I want it to be magazine perfect, but don’t have time or energy right now.
All of a sudden Spring hits the air and it’s like my mom takes over my body. I’m ready to clean everything, everywhere. And what is the easiest way to clean? Throw it out. Oh yeah, throw it away.
Many a time, there have been fingers looking through the jumbo black garbage bags carefully to not let catch them pulling out the things they know we need.
My motto? Click here to find out over on Everybody Needs A Little Romance.
Then let us know what spring is like for you.

Getting Back Into the Swing of Things...X-Posted
Is harder than you (I) think. Not the day job, that's a given. You must be at work by X and you work until Y, sometimes till Z. (Since I've returned from vacation, there's been a lot of Z's). In all honesty you're so busy catching everything up, it's pretty easy to get into the swing of it.
The writing? That's another story (no pu intended). My normal schedule is to write in the evenings. I'm not much of an early morning writer. That's email and blog(s) time. But coming home from work, sitting down at the computer and writing is what my nights are for.
Check out the rest of the post over on Everybody Needs A Little Romance
Leave a comment there or come back here and leave one here. (The question is over there)

Luck, Fortune, Destiny…X-Posted
So I’m a wee bit late this morning. My computer crashed. How odd is that on the day I’m talking about luck, I turn on the computer to find 34 viruses, 21 of them critical.
No worries, this did not come from my computer. Nope, in fact, I handed the laptop to Science Guy and said, fix it or kill it, please.
Click here to read the rest.
What about you? Do you feel lucky? What to you makes someone lucky?
Leave a comment and you’ll be entered into a drawing for Karen Rose’s latest release, Kill For Me. How’s that for luck?

Ever Have One Of Those Days - X-Posted
Yesterday was Monday. Yeah, you know the first day of the work week. The day you wake up and wish it was still the weekend or a holiday. Just one more day off, please.
Normally, Monday's aren't really that bad for me, but yesterday was more like a Monday with a Friday the 13th all rolled into one.
I was excited about the new look on this blog and couldn't wait to post something about it on the group blog. My computer had other ideas. Okay so my thoughts sort of wandered as well.
No worries, right? I'll post something later in the day. Or so I thought.
Click here to read the rest and then come back and let me know what you think and if you've ever had one of those days.

I Saw My Character at the Greek Festival...X-Posted
Science Guy and I went to a Greek Festival on Saturday and the oddest thing happened. Yes, he bought me some jewelry, but that’s not what’s odd about this.
We’d walked around the booths, sampled a bit of Greek food (very yummy), and had decided to sit outside and people watch for a bit. It was such a beautiful late afternoon, the atmosphere festive, and the area was full of children running around while parents called out to them in Greek. Little side note here: I thought that was totally cool, since I live in Florida to hear the language all around me.
Anyway, there we sat talking about…hmmm…not really sure what we were talking about, although I’m sure it was a great conversation. :) Usually is when we talk as Science Guy is quite shy around others but with me, we talk about all sorts of stuff.
Where was I? Oh yes, sitting outside watching people (sorry, a little rabbit trail there), when this guy comes near us to grabbed some empty chairs and mouths hello to me. I, of course, mouthed back hi. Then I watched him. Height, around 5’11’’. He was dressed in black pants, black boots, black shirt with a design on the back (seeing a theme here?), a black cape (no really, he had a short black cape), and a black beret.
He takes the chairs a short distance from where we were and sat them at table where his friend had sat their plates. Sitting down his left arm lifted in the air very dramatic like and he crossed his legs and laughed. As I continued watching him I felt like I knew him and knew him well. Which was crazy since I’d never met the man in my life.
That’s when it hit me. Yep, it's Tuesday, gotta click here to read the rest. Or you can click on the title.
So, go read the rest, leave your comment there and come back and tell us here what you think.

And Along Came Sadie...X-Posted
I've been working on Annie's book, which is the second in the After Thoughts series. Although it's a series, it is a stand alone and I've written the synopsis. In other words, I know what's supposed to happen in this book. Yet, I'm stuck. Okay, maybe stuck isn't the correct word. It's more like I'm dreading it when I sit down in front of the computer.
When I finished ATB, which is the first in the stand alone series, I took several weeks off writing. We're trying to buy a house, my son moved back in with us, and life in general was in the way. Add to that, my last edits on ATB included a 20,000 word cut. Needless to say, my brain was a tad fried and I needed the break. Just not two weeks. By the time I was ready to write, the habit of writing every day wasn't there. It became very easy to come home from work, fix dinner, and sit with Science Guy watching the TV.
That is until this past week. That's when Sadie appeared.
You can read the rest of this x-posted blog here.
Don't forget LKap has a great giveaway this week. She'll be back on Thursday to tell you more about it. In the meantime, check out yesterday's post by LKap if you missed it.
All comments this week will be included in the drawing.

Color, Color Again...and Okay, Color Again XPosted
I was born blond . Not a stark white blond, but blond nonetheless. As I grew older, it tuned to what my family ever so sweetly called Dirty Dishwater blond.
Have you ever looked at dirty dishwater? I mean really, who wants to have hair the color of dirty water? Not me. Thus the little box with an applicator filled with awful smelling stuff along with a little brown bottle to add to it and shake, and shake, and…well, you know, shake it a bunch more. (I was always afraid I wouldn’t shake it enough. Just a tad OCD.)
Anyway, I’ll try to shorten what could be a very long story. I colored my hair a beautiful sun kissed blond. When it was time to color again, I did it. No problem. Yeah right. I didn’t really bother to read the directions and just colored my whole head. Now I had two different colors of blond and it wasn’t in a cool way.
I’m sure you can guess what happened next...

I Need A Vacation - Xposted
Did the holidays really just end? Are you sure? Because right now I’m really thinking I need a vacation.
My day job, the one that pays the bills, is a 24/7 live TV show and during the month of December things slow down. So much so, by Christmas week and the week after the place has very few people working. Everyone saves vacation time to take since there isn’t anything to do.
I love this time and take a couple of long weekends, but work the rest of it. I can organize everything for the coming year and it’s quiet.
Then everyone comes back...Read the rest of the post over at Everybody Needs A Little Romance
I'll be posting over there each Tuesday and today's the first time for me there, so go over and leave me a comment and then let me know here that you did as well. There'll be a surprise on Friday. :)
