Did the holidays really just end? Are you sure? Because right now I’m really thinking I need a vacation.
My day job, the one that pays the bills, is a 24/7 live TV show and during the month of December things slow down. So much so, by Christmas week and the week after the place has very few people working. Everyone saves vacation time to take since there isn’t anything to do.
I love this time and take a couple of long weekends, but work the rest of it. I can organize everything for the coming year and it’s quiet.

OH lord, you work in the TV industry too? I work with folks who do that also....no thanks! That is crazy work...how you can go from that to quietly writing books is beyond me and actually a rather remarkable talent!
MI - It's not as bad as you think. I work in the .com side of the industry. It does get crazy, but when I leave I can leave it all behind and that's what makes it work. My last job was never done at home or in the office seven days a week. I worked 70 hours easy and traveled. So, this is nice.

I went on a rant yesterday morning. I was ANGRY, name of post too, boy what a mess! I had to go fix it today and still not sure if I got it right, but it is what it is!
