Contest Time - Sleeping With Ward Cleaver

It’s time to kick off a few contests and the first one is guaranteed to have you laughing through out the book.

Jenny Gardiner’s new book Sleeping With Ward Cleaver is a fabulous and funny book which keep you turning the pages.

Jenny Gardiner is a debut author with Dorchester Publishing and she is the Winner of 2007 American Title contest.

Here’s the backcover blurb:

Wham, bam, no-thank-you, ma'am. That about sums up the sex life of Claire Doolittle. Not-so-happily married to Jack-once the man of her dreams but now a modern-day version of the bossy, dull Ward Cleaver of '50s sitcom fame-Claire is at the end of her rope. Gone are the glorious days of flings in elevators and broom closets. Jack? All he needs is a cardigan and a billowing pipe to become the domineering father figure Claire never wanted. And looking at her body in the mirror, Claire would cast herself as Lumpy. They'd once had a world of color, of wanton frivolity. Now, life's black and white: a sitcom in reruns. A not-very-funny sitcom. Cue an old boyfriend-the "one that got away"-throw in a predatory hottie who's set her sights on our leading man, and watch Claire's world spiral out of control.

Wow, a humorous contemporary. This sounds cool! I'm in the mood for funny.

What I've been reading lately is Nancy Drew (I'm having Nancy Drew week at my blog.) The books are actually still totally entertaining! I feel like I'm in 4th grade again.

Saw your post on the TARANS list. I've got a couple of books to try to catch up on while waiting for TS Fay to make up her mind. *LOL*

I just finished The Darkest Kiss by Gena Showalter. I love funny contemporary romances.

A Nancy Drew week sounds really fun. I only have a few of mine from years ago, but it's been years since I read any of them.

I'm not sure why my post came up as "anonymous". I must have clicked the wrong button. Anyway, that one was from me, Jane. Have a great day!

Hi Jenny! Thanks for stopping by and it was wonderful to meet you at RWA.

Carolyn Jean - I love Nancy Drew. :)

Lesli - Hey, and thanks for stopping by, it's always good to see a sister TARAN here. :D

Liza - I haven't read The Darkest Kiss yet, I'll have to add it to my TBR.

Jane - I haven't done a TT13 in awhile so it's probably time. Any thoughts on what you'd like to know 13 things about?

Jill - I'm so glad you loved Jenny's book and I've got Angie's book at the top of my TBR pile. It's next. :)

A funny author I recently discovered is Luanne McLane. Vicki Lewis Thompson's Wild and Hexy was alot of fun! Jill Shalvis also has a great sense of humor. This sounds like another fun one and I love the title.
