Check It Out

Over on Much Cheaper Than Therapy is a fabulous post by editors, Laura Kelly and Vicky Reed.

IMVHO, this is a must read for all writers, especially those of us who are aspiring to become published authors. Not only are they giving us ten of their top pet peeves, but they've provided examples of what their talking about.

Check it out and come back to leave a comment of your thoughts on the post.

WW's and PD's,
Vicki

Vicki, I love the one at the end. I had to literally find and delete every 'that' in my first couple of manuscripts. It is just funny because I was just writing the way I talk. LOL

Good morning, Vicki! I like your blog. I'll be stopping by from time to time.

Thanks for your support and prayers during this sad time...
Hugs,
~Caroline

Thanks for the great link, Vicki! I am guilty of Items 4 and 6 (I have trouble writing emotion and I either overdo or underdo the introspection) and 10--especially 10! If I've been reporting high word counts on our Book Challenge lately, it's because I'm padding it with all those useless words.

(I hope that doesn't make me a fraud on the BC loop.)

Item 2 is big pet peeve of mine--the taking shelter from a sudden downpour, and having to remove clothes to avoid catching cold. IMVHO it's as bad as the h/h first meeting by colliding and her getting knocked on her backside.
