How can it be time to check in again??? This past week has flown by and though I did manage to get some revisions done, I’m still 20 pages away from finishing this first pass.
I’ve already started the second pass through. Yay! I’m starting chapter five. Double Yay!!
In my spare time, (don’t laugh, I know there really isn’t anything such as spare time), I’m working on the query and synopsis. Okay, so I’m not really enjoying the synopsis writing. But this two shall pass. :D
So, how did you do this week? Did read anything new? Share, share!! How about your own writing goals? Or maybe you have other goals you’re working on that don’t include writing. How did you do on those?
Don’t forget about the contest. Each time you leave a comment you will be entered. Read yesterday’s post and then anyone of the excerpts and leave a comment about it.
WW’s and PD’s,
Vicki

Yay for second pass! Go Vicki!
I managed to crank out 6k last night so that made me feel good considering I have been off on writing for the last 3 weeks due to personal issues (it sucks how they can zap your creative flow) But I am back in the swing of things!
Hey Erica - it's great to have you back!!!
Sarai - 6k words in one night, WOW. Life does know how to get in the way when we least expect it. I'm glad things have smoothed out and your back in the swing. :)
the reluctant pirates of the Sea Orchid are stuck on the Bahamas and I've taken a hiatus from writing but I've been making notes for a new contemporary where a young American girl, smart, driven, and taking a break before law school, goes to Delhi and gets involved with a lying French hippie and helps him buy a slave to set her free and... wait, what am I telling you all this for?
Hey, Vicki! I was reading something you wrote elsewhere where you said to get a critique partner. Any suggestions on how to go about getting one? (historical romance of the Regency era) I really have no idea how to go about finding someone.
