The sellers have accepted our offer. WhooHoo!!! Now we have to wait for their bank to accept the offer and that could take weeks.
Have I ever mentioned I'm not so good at the waiting game? Yeah, not so much. I've already picked out the color paint I want for a couple of the rooms, where I'll place furniture and how my office will be.
I'm throwing out junk, packing up stuff to take to the Salvation Army, and looking around the house we're in now, knowing it'll take tons of boxes to move us. Which lies the other problem. Science Guy has decided to have packers pack us.
Sounds great, right?
Really it is great, BUT I have things I don't want packers to pack or move for that matter. I'm wanting to pack them up now. I can't do that yet. Since we have to wait on the bank to approve (their bank, not ours), then wait for them to set the closing date, it could be...six weeks before we move.
Needless to say all of this is not making my writing flow. I am writing, just not quite as much as I should be. So, tomorrow night, wait scratch that, I have a board meeting tomorrow night, so Tuesday night I'm back to the 'love ya honey, gotta go write' when I come home from work.
Next week Helen Scott Taylor will be here. I'm so excited! I can't wait to read her book.
How about you? How's your week going? Are you writing? Reading?
WW's and PD's,
Vicki

Keeping my fingers crossed for you, Vicki! I remember that waiting game. Not fun at all!
Superhugs on the waiting and packing and moving, Vicki. None of that is ever fun. I hope we never have to do any of it again.
I especially hate moving my millions of books! Once they're pulled from the shelves for moving, I am totally out of sorts and nothing is right with my world till they're back on the shelves again.
As for what I'm up to this week--I'm starting on a new Regency historical. And this time I'm going to finish it!
Thank Melissa. We can use all the finger crossing we can get. :)
Karen, Right? I look at my books and cringe at the thought of packing them. There's so many of them.
I told Science Guy I don't want to do this again.
Congrats on the accepted offer!
I'm prior military so I've done a couple of moves - plus a couple more! The best moves were what we called a partial DITY. Hire the movers but also set aside the *special* and breakable items to do yourself. Box them up to your specs and rent a small u-haul. Just a little trailer that your car can pull. That way your spun glass cake topper from your wedding is safe. Maybe even the computer. Anything you'll need to survive for a week.
For the books, I have over 5,000 and have moved them many times. Until this house, I stored them in the clear underbed plastic containers. Two rows of PBs fit perfectly.
Congrats on the house. It's going to all work out.
I'm reading. (Currently Debra Webb's Find Me.) Lately more than I'm writing. Not a good thing for meeting my writing goals. But I'll refocus this week.
